About Me

I am a licensed dentist and orthodontic resident, as well as an AI and biostatistics researcher. I am currently a postgraduate student at the West China School/Hospital of Stomatology, Sichuan University, under the supervision of Professor Jun Wang. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Dental Medicine from Sichuan University in 2024. During my graduate training, I have also had the privilege of receiving methodological training in biostatistics under the mentorship of Professor Xing Zhao in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the West China School of Public Health.

My research brings together clinical dentistry, real-world health research, biostatistics, and artificial intelligence. I am particularly interested in developing statistical and machine-learning methods motivated by clinically important problems, with the aim of contributing to rigorous methodological development, responsible data practices, and trustworthy evidence generation.

My current work centers on three interconnected areas:

• Application- and Methodology-Driven Quantitative Oral Health Science

  Studying substantive problems in oral healthcare while developing statistical and computational methods for causal inference, clinical measurement, diagnostic evaluation, risk prediction, and decision-making.

• Artificial Intelligence for Clinical Dentistry

  Developing clinically grounded methods in medical imaging, multimodal learning, and generative modeling for diagnosis, treatment planning, longitudinal monitoring, and digital clinical workflows.

• Real-World Data Acquisition, Governance, and Trustworthy Evidence Generation

  Studying how heterogeneous real-world data can be responsibly acquired, standardized, governed, integrated, and analyzed to support the generation of reliable, interpretable, and clinically meaningful evidence. My work in this area includes collaboration with the China Multi-Ethnic Cohort (CMEC) on longitudinal population research, multimodal data integration, and broader questions in population health.
